I believe in todays world, alot of human dignity deals with science. Cloning, capital punishment, biomedicine, genetics, etc etc. It is something new and people are afraid to try it because it could "ruin" the human race. These things could help dignify a person or even insult them in many ways, shapes and forms; which just leads to controversy.
Here are three links that I found interesting...
www.cbhd.org/ -This one is about biomedicine and ethical reasoning behind it.
www.nccbuscc.org/prolife/programs/rlp//03doerflinger.htm - This one talks about why people oppose human cloning and why others support it.
www.cwrl.utexas.edu/~tonya/spring/cap/con6.htm -This one speaks about capital punishment and some other laws weaved into our system that are questionable.

To start out I am not a political person in any way, shape, or form. I don't think politcally, act politically, or even pay attention to political stuff. And to simply state, I am not going to start. lol. I believe its an important thing in our country, but I don't think I, personally, want anything to do with voting for a certain person when neither of them can tell the truth and be straight forward. They are making politics entertainment in my eyes because all they do is act like five year olds calling each other names and saying that the opposing side is incompetant. When in reality all we want is to hear what they stand for, vote for them, see who wins, hope its a good choice, and move on.I believe I am not ready to vote yet. Perhaps when I actually have time to pay attention to what the candidates stand for and especially when they stop acting like immature children I will vote then...Maybe. I think this election I was not ready to vote and I dont think the candidates deserve my vote because (insert reasons above once again).
So until then its Anarchy all the way! lol

I think online relationships is fine unless you are not safe about it. For instance, i met someone online and dated her and she lived all the way in Florida. We dated for a little over a year and it became too hard for the long distance so we broke up. We seen each other every four to six months and it was just too long of time. If you meet someone have it be close to home I believe. I, personally dont think I would do it again just because its too stressful. But if you have the mindset its definitely possible.

Ishmael is finally done... It was a very good book. It had good morals and excellent ideas. However, I am going to be glad to start moving on. I feel like we have been doing this for way too long. I have a short attention span and can only do things for so long. I can honestly say I am not to excited about the out of class experience thing coming up on wednesday. It doesn't appeal to me at all. Yay classes are canceled, but i just don't see the point if we aren't interested.

One thing that I have at css that is fun could simply be just sitting on the lawn and absorb the surroundings around me. The campus is a beautiful place and its always fun to just relax.
Another thing I find kind of fun is checking my mail. I know its nerdy, but its something different. You have your own mailbox and its always fun to see something in there and know its yours for sure.

Last Blog!!

Subject:Blog User name:Arabicwords
This website is just cool! This guy puts differents words and phrases from the Arabic and egyptian languages and translates them on his website. I like learning different languages because it can teach you about different cultures normally no one would learn about. Its also interesting because it sounds like this person has been to these places. Or plans on going to them someday. Some quotes are:
"Saudi: Hello: marHaba
Bye: fi 'amaan illaah
Where are you from?: inta min fen?"
"Egyptian:
Hello: ahlan
Bye: ma'a s-salama, salam
Where are you from?: enta (m)/enti (f) min ay balad?"
The website is: http://community.livejournal.com/arabicwords/. Its very neat and contains languages from arab, egyptian, saudi, and many other dialects. His name is avocadobravado

The first blog I seen in this website I thought was very inspirational. It is a site based on poetry. The very first poem in fact is the one that inspired me. Its inspiring because they display their emotions within a poem. They write notes to other people through the poetry they write. I think that is neat and creative way to express something. This poem inspired me because I can relate at certain points in my life.
"Two Hundred One

Beneath this thick and fickle skin
Inside my molten core of ice

I ache.

My ice melts,
boils,
and freezes again.
But never by the light of day.

Oceans of tears lay in waiting
of a rare and glorious push
to crest and crash upon my lashes,
splashing cheek and moistening lips.

This chest is left barren
by an old and atrophied
lonely heart,
whose strength once forced
endless erruptions of faith
through these willing veins.

The ash hath settled within these
vacant lungs.
Pyroclastic dreams depleted.

And now I'm left upon my island
saddened, alone, and defeated"
The life of someone in creative words is interesting because you learn about them without even knowing it sometimes. It may even be a blog that is completely made up. You don't know because you don't know the person, but other people may be able to relate to their creative side. The website is http://ihatepickles.livejournal.com/.

misanthropic Demimonde (blog)

This person’s blog has to do with the 9/11 attacks and how ABC was exploiting it. I happen to agree with her on this point because they shouldn’t be trying to receive ratings from a tragedy, but theres always a negative side to everything… including freedom of speech. One thing she said that stuck out to me was, “The movie was written and produced by a right-wing activist who fabricated key scenes to blame Democrats and defend Republicans.” I don’t know how anyone can know that is what there intention was behind the movie, but What do I know. She included to say, “Public outrage is mounting across the country, and ABC is now "mulling the idea of yanking the mini altogether." But we only have a little time to act. Can you help out? The last thing we need right now is more misinformation out there to confuse people.” Which I can also agree with. Why would we want to confuse the people of America, even the world of what happened on 9/11. Its kind of frustrating. The website to this blog is http://mutelorelei.livejournal.com/ She talks more randomly about stuff, but a lot of her topics revolve around tv and what she watches and doesn’t watch and beliefs she holds.

Community

I found a community based on the book we are reading "Ishmael." They talk about different religions and what their basis of right and wrong are. They talk about how different people can "rate feeling good or bad" from 1- 10 1 being bad 10 being good. For instance, they used the example of a homeless man receiving a sandwich and rating that a seven, while a person getting a new car could also rate that as a seven. The community talks about how closed minded we are and other various things. Another person said,"Some of you may disagree, but I think that a sort of religion has created itself around Daniel Quinn's books, the "followers" have a name (B) and they definitely share a common way of looking at the world." I thought that was true in a sense. To get there go to http://community.livejournal.com/anotherway/ check it out its quite interesting.

This posting is for my Dignitas class.
One thing that I did was work. I worked a lot over the summer. Oh yeah... I also went to canal park with friends quite a bit. I met some new people and it was a lot of fun. We ate out a a variety of restaurants and coffee shops. One place we still want to try is Outback, but its not going to work because its so expensive!
